  1. SCRAMBLE VERSION 1.0

  4. Scramble is a windows puzzle game.  It is a modification
  5. of popular "15" puzzle.  Supports 2 modes, Numbers mode
  6. and Pictures mode.  In each mode you can change dimensions
  7. from 3x3 up to 8x8, but this feature is disabled for 
  8. unregistered users.  Multimedia sound support.

  15.   SCRAMBLE.EXE - This is the executable for Scramble 1.0

  17.   SCRAMBLE.HLP - This is the Scramble online help file.

  19.   REGFORM.WRI  - This is the Scramble order form that you can print out
  20.                  and send in to receive your registered version.
  21.  
  22.   FILE_ID.DIZ  - This is a brief description of Scramble. Some BBSs can
  23.                  reject Scramble if you upload it without this file.

  25.   APE.BMP      - This is a picture of chimpanzee (or maybe gorilla???).

  27.   BEAR.BMP     - This is a picture of bear.
  28.  
  29.   BLOOM.BMP    - This is a picture of flowers.

  31.   SETUP.EXE    - This is a installation program you have to run to install
  32.                  Scramble.

  34.   APPSETUP.INF - This is a supplementary file required by the setup program.

  36.   CTL3D.DLL    - This is also a supplementary file required by the setup
  37.                  program.

  39. The documentation is in online Windows Help format.  Just start up
  40. Scramble and go to the help menu item, select contents and browse help.

  42. You are encouraged to upload a shareware version (but not registered version) of
  43. Scramble to BBSs, give it to your friends.  Please distribute all files listed
  44. above. Last three files will not be installed in your Scramble directory, they
  45. are used only by installer, but please don't forget to include them into your
  46. distribution.

  49. INSTALLATION
  50. ------------
  51. If your copy of Scramble is zipped, then unzip it into one temporary
  52. directory, it does not matter which, you even can use a floppy disk as
  53. temporary directory. Then run windows (if you already are not running) 
  54. and from the Program Manager menu activate File, then Run and in the 
  55. Command Line box type the name of your temporary directory, where your 
  56. unzipped Scramble files are located, followed by \setup and click OK (eg, 
  57. if your files are located in the directory c:\temp, then type in
  58. c:\temp\setup). It will launch the installation program. Follow the 
  59. instructions and if everything is fine, Scramble icon will appear in you
  60. Games program group. Now you can double click scramble icon and,
  61. run the game and enjoy.

  64. REGISTRATION
  65. ------------
  66. If you are Compuserve user, you can register online, just type GO SWREG at
  67. any ! prompt or, if you are using WinCim click a traffic light button on
  68. your tool bar and enter SWREG in popup dialog box, select Shareware
  69. Registration, search for Registration ID No. 6880 and follow instructions.
  70. Next day (or, possibly, after couple of of hours, depending on the time of
  71. day, week and year) we will send you a validation number via Compuserve mail.

  74. If you are not Compuserve user or if you prefer to register by mail,  just
  75. complete a registration form which is in the file called regform.wri and
  76. mail it along with you payment to the address provided.

  78. If you live in Canada or USA you will receive (free) additional pictures
  79. to use with Scramble, also fully functional personalized copy of Scramble
  80. on 3.5" floppy disk.  If you live outside the USA or Canada and wish to
  81. get above mentioned goodies, please add US$3.00 for shipping and handling.
